FixMyPTO is a free PTO optimizer. It places your paid time off next to weekends and public holidays, so every day of leave stretches into a longer break. In Belgium, 20 PTO days in 2027 become 44 days off.
The planner
Tell the planner where you work, how many days you have and how you like to take them. It never books a weekend or a public holiday as PTO, and every break includes a weekend.

Public holidays load automatically for the country and year you pick.

How it works
A PTO optimizer is a calculator for one question: on which working days should I take leave so that I am away the longest? FixMyPTO answers it exactly, with dynamic programming, instead of guessing.
Each day is marked free (weekend, public holiday, company day) or working. Only working days can cost PTO.
A break is a run of consecutive days off. Its price is the number of working days inside it; its value is its full length.
Within your PTO budget, the optimizer selects the breaks with the most days off that fit your strategy's length and spacing.
No PTO on weekends or holidays. Every break contains a weekend. All your PTO days are planned, and each one adds a day off.
Strategies
A strategy sets how long each break may be and how far apart breaks must be. Break length counts every day you are off, including weekends and public holidays.
Bridge days around holidays plus a few longer holidays.

No. PTO is only placed on working days. Weekends, public holidays and company days are free days that extend a break. Every break also contains at least one weekend, so leave is never spent on a loose mid-week run.
